For lack of a better title: The mouse raved Bangkok

As a part of his Asia tour, Deadmau5 has dropped by to spend a few days in Bangkok, and gave one hell of a performance to his die-hard rocking fans. Our date with him was at the latest Bat Blast party, hosted at Moonstar Studio in Ladprao 80 last night. Completed with bleeding-edge Facebook integration techs, say an RFID tag for everyone for photo-tagging. And of course, loads of Barcadi mixes (with reasonable pricing) for everyone.

Bat Blast kicked off the night with soft house music from a lady DJ with a lady saxophone player, then as the night progresses, they brought up three guys in Tron-styled suits (i.e. black overalls with lights! Now they need some helmets to become Thailand’s daft punk!) to progressively get people more upbeat, more excited, more ready for the reason they were there tonight.

Deadmau5 started the highly anticipated performance around midnight and did not disappoint his very-excited fans. He brought the complete setup for his performance, his helmet and mask, the magical LED cube. Light and sound systems were terrific and captivating, we admit that we got sucked into his world.

The performance line-up included selections from his early works, up until hits from his latest album 4x4=12. Started off with 'Limit Break' and 'Some Chords'. The night peaked at the favorite - Ghost 'n' Stuff. Although his whole show lasted less than two hours with around 16 tracks delivered, everybody was satisfied and left with a smile on their face.

We salute Bat Blast for getting the show running as smoothly as they can; the choice of venue was likeable (although it rained heavily after the show). And we definitely thank Deadmau5 for bringing his whole setup to Bangkok; see you the next time around!
