And just when I thought my beloved Panasonic has abandoned their efforts and loves for flagship compact Lumix LX-3 for their sexy micro four-thirds GF-1.

They’ve just released the new firmware for LX-3 today! Here’s the dpreview coverage and the official download page.

The latest firmware version is 2.0, a leap from the previous version 1.3. And it really deserved the leap, because they’re not just improving the auto wb this time.

I’ve played with the new version for 30 secs and this is what I’ve got from the new High Dynamic (HDR) mode:

SPECTACULAR!

My third self-bought camera would still be a Lumix for sure! Tsubu Tsubu Panasonic!
