I got robbed by Yahoo!
Okay, I just got back.
Then I saw this e-mail in my gmail inbox, uh oh:
I was shit drunk, and then what happened to me, was one of the fastest sobering period ever, when I saw that $34.95 figure:
Then I thought, why wasn’t I notified of this, so I went to Hotmail. And there it was in the Junk mail yard:
They renewed my domain automatically two weeks prior to the expiration (2009-06-18), and the price went up from $1.99 to $34.95
It was time for damage control, I went to see my PayPal, and my nightmare became real
They have already charged the fees from my credit card. Shit. This is probably Paypal’s record time of deducting my credit card.
Now I’ve e-mail’ed Yahoo! for a $34.95 refund, since I haven’t started using the service on that term, and I’ve canceled my subscription to that domain plan also.
Hope I’ll get my refunds quickly.
I felt like I was robbed by Yahoo!.
I know it’s my fault that I didn’t check my spam yard for their notification, I planned to transfer the domain somewhere else anyway, but I didn’t know they’d do it this soon and this expensive.
